Making me smile
Hello lovely bloggy friends ,firstly i would like to say a big thankyou to you all for following me ,im so pleased to reach 203 and feel mighty honoured so thankyou so much , i feel i dont blog enough at the moment ,partly because im sometimes not sure what to blog about really ,you see i feel im quite boring and dont have much to say ,i would love to tell of adventures i have ,witty stories to tell but the truth is i dont really do much ,my world are my children ,my home ,garden and my hobbies which to some is very boring but not to me ,i love them all and they are my life so this post im going to show you things that make me smile
My sweet little kitchen which is colourfull ,sunny and full of lovely bits and bobs ,i cant say i love cooking really i find it a bit of a chore to be honest and the children often comment on "cant we have something different "which shows im not very imaginative !!,i do love having my little brother ( i say little he is 30 and has enormous muscles from going to the gym 5 times a week ) over and his girlfriend who i love to bits ,we eat huge amounts of food and somehow manage to consume at least 3 bottles of wine between us and my brother drives so he only has 1 glass ,
My love of cushions , i have far too many really but most of these are really to sell on ,maybe i will keep a few !!
My work table ,i have just bought some gorgeous coloured wool ,im planning to crochet a summer blanket although im enjoying knitting too at the moment
Blossom and primroses
Chocolate cake that my daughter made all by herself and it was delicious
Crochet cushions i have just made
A blanket box i bought for £5 and jazzed up a bit with a slap of paint and some cath k fabric ,i feel rather pleased with myself,so thats all i have to show this time ,i have been spending more time in my polytunnel and my seeds are all now shooting up so i will show you them next week ,im also having a sale over on my facebook page so please pop over say hello and maybe even treat yourself to something lovely ,sweet and handmade www.facebook.com/patchworkandlace
Much love francine xx

ReplyDeleteYour home is so lovely. Homey and pretty and the perfect place to curl up and eat/knit/read. It's very feminine in style. I wish I could be girlier in my home but girls are outnumbered here and I'm not sure my hubby would go for it!

All those lovely pastel colours remind me of sugar almonds .... blog for yourself and don't worry about what others think .... that way you are true to yourself and your followers with a real family life blog that is worth visiting and not one of those twee 'look at my perfect life' ones that usually turn out to be a sham. Carry on blogging xx

Hello Francine! I had to stop and say, I also stay home and do the house, kids, animals and such. I'm perfectly content to do this, it makes me happy. I like to cook and bake and I throw in as much crochet and reading time that I can. I feel boring sometimes in my blog too but you know, it really should be about the pleasure of recording our lives and not so much what other people think. I will say, I don't think your blog is boring! I love love love your kitchen, I wish I could step right in there! You have the prettiest pictures, I love to see the beautiful things you make. Keep it up and enjoy yourself!
ReplyDeleteHi Francine!
ReplyDeleteIm so in love with your kitchen!! (That dresser!?) I love white rooms and lots of colour, I think your house looks very cozy and homely :)
And to be honest, whats blogging for if not to just share your passions? clearly with over 200 followers, no one thinks your boring, I certainly don't! The whole reason I read blogs is to find like minded people and have a little peak in to someone else's world, big or small I love it all, and so do a lot of other people ;D
(I would also just be happy to scroll through endless pictures of your cushions anyway! haha!)

ReplyDeletei love your house and all; your bits and bobs but how do you get the time to do all your bits to sell with your family. mine have all grown up now and i only work prt time but i would never have the time to make enough to sell not that anyone would want to buy my stuff yours is lovely.i love cath kidston too and am coming on a break up to york in may so cannot wait as we don't have a shop here in norwich. also am just excited about going to the quilt museum as well.
