Making me smile

Hello lovely bloggy friends ,firstly i would like to say a big thankyou to you all for following me ,im so pleased to reach 203 and feel mighty honoured so thankyou so much , i feel i dont blog enough at the moment ,partly because im sometimes not sure what to blog about really ,you see i feel im quite boring and dont have much to say ,i would love to tell of adventures i have ,witty stories to tell but the truth is i dont really do much ,my world are my children ,my home ,garden and my hobbies which to some is very boring but not to me ,i love them all and they are my life so this post im going to show you things that make me smile

My sweet little kitchen which is colourfull ,sunny and full of lovely bits and bobs ,i cant say i love cooking really i find it a bit of a chore to be honest and the children often comment on "cant we have something different "which shows im not very imaginative !!,i do love having my little brother ( i say little he is 30 and has enormous muscles from going to the gym 5 times a week ) over and his girlfriend who i love to bits ,we eat huge amounts of food and somehow manage to consume at least 3 bottles of wine between us and my brother drives so he only has 1 glass ,

My love of cushions , i have far too many really but most of these are really to sell on ,maybe i will keep a few !!

My work table ,i have just bought some gorgeous coloured wool ,im planning to crochet a summer blanket although im enjoying knitting too at the moment

Hello lovely bloggy friends ,it is sunday evening ,all chores are done ,school stuff ready,i have a glass of chilled wine ,my crochet,and its been a really lovely day,the sun has been beaming down all day ,it has felt like summer,the washing was blowing on the line and i have been pottering about outside all day with regular cups of tea bought out to me ,i recently purchased a polytunnel which was very reasonably priced and ginormous ,its a lot bigger than i expected but perfect for me

I have wanted one for so long,i plan to grow tomatoes,cucumber,peppers,lettuce ,flowers all sorts ,i get so much enjoyment from growing my own things then planting them out in the garden,i had a plant stall last year but not sure if i will this year ,seeds are so cheap aswell ,i buy mine from "Boyes" in york and the £1 shop have so many seeds they even have roses in every colour for only £1

The garden looks rather bland over winter but it is now springing into life

This little beauty arrived too this week ,maybe its just me but i love her earlier magazines more

Sorry its the wrong way up but i have started knitting a cushion ,not very colourfull but i thought i would try something different

Ihave also been doing a lot of this lately to make this

A pretty crochet blanket for a order ,it seem to take forever to do but i was pleased with the results and a few more homemakes too as always x

Lovely things

Hello lovely bloggy friends,hope to find you all well The children are all back at school now after half term ,cant say we did a lot really ,just pottered about around the house really ,the snow has all disapeared and its been quite warm ive even ventured out into the garden which has been lovely to be out in the fresh air ,all the bulbs are coming up and little buds are showing on the trees,im so looking forward to spring and the warmer weather

As always ive been busy making more cushions ,amongst other things to sell on my website www.patchworkandlace.co.uk,im really keen to make a real go of it this year ,its really been a bit of a hobby up till now but i feel i want to make something of myself and be succesful so thats my plan,my facebook page is also doing well ,i get so excited when people either buy something or like my page ,it really boosts my confidence,anyway these are a few things ive been making recently

Pretty little bags,i often get asked how do i have the time to do all this well i suppose i spend every spare minute i have in my room ,i dont go out,i hardly ever watch tele and i stay up late and get up early ,i must say though my tele night is mainly on a sunday ,im loving all these programes that have been on ,lark rise to candleford,downton abbey,call the midwife and now upstairs and downstairs i love them all ,the clothes ,transport,furniture its all so lovely
